Course Description
The primary goal of the course is to get students excited about modern physics, such as particle physics, cosmology, etc. The lectures are aimed at students who want to become qualified experimentalists (mainly in high energy and condensed matter physics). A good experimentalist needs to understand the methods used in theoretical physics in order to correctly translate theoretical predictions into the language of an experiment. Although the course is designed for experimentalists, theoretical students will also learn something useful.
Literature
I am not going to follow any specific book. List of some useful books and papers:
- M.E.Peskin, “Spin, mass, and symmetry,” arXiv:hep-ph/9405255
